Buena Vista is out in Taft about 20 miles west of Bakersfield just off Taft Highway.

It is a scenic setting for the golf course with views of the mountains, the recreation area, and the surrounding farms. The layout is straightforward but challenging along hilly and sloping, tree lined fairways with a sparing us of sand bunkers generally greenside. The course plays to 6,710 yards from the blue tees, 72.9/124, course/slope ratings with two shorter tees, designed by George Mifflin in 1951.
