The best public golf courses scattered along the Grand Strand of Myrtle Beach including Caledonia, True Blue, The Dunes Club, the Dye and Love courses at Barefoot, and the TPC Myrtle Beach although there are 80+ others to choose from. Charleston is headlined by Kiawah Island on a barrier island 25 miles southwest of Charleston with five layouts, but Charleston proper has Wild Dunes, Charleston National, and Dunes West. Another barrier island Hilton Head has Harbour Town at Sea Pines, the perennial PGA Tour venue, May River, and Palmetto Dunes Resorts. In the Sandhills Regions there's the Walker Course at Clemson, The Preserve at Verdae in Greenville, or Cobblestone Park in Columbia.
