The Chester Golf Club is 6 miles west of I-77 off exit 62, about 45 minutes south of Charlotte.

The course is a compact, parkland-style design carved through the woods along unique, isolated fairways. It's challenging as it wanders along narrow, tree-lined corridors with water hazards on 1/3 of the holes and a generous amount of sand traps guarding the greens tucked into coves of trees. There are four sets of tees overall, with the tips playing to 6,811. The White tees are 6,273 yards, 69.6/125, course/slope ratings, designed by Russell Breeden in the 1970s.
