The CC of South Carolina is on the northeast side of Florence off I-95 at the Williston exit to the east.

The golf course is a parkland layout within an upscale, residential development. It's a scenic setting for the course as it moves along tree lined fairways aside numerous lakes and Black Creek with the greens tucked into hollows surrounded by dogwoods, azaleas, and old-growth hardwoods. The Championship tees play to 7,062 yards, 74.2/137, course/slope ratings, the middle tees are 6,062 yards, 69.3/123 with two shorter tees, designed by Ellis Maples.
