Palmetto Hall is on the north side of HHI near the airport, with two 18-hole golf courses.

Both layouts typify golf on Hilton Head as they move through an upscale residential development over pine and moss-draped, oak tree-lined fairways with multiple water hazards and sand traps along the fairways and greenside. The Hills course is 6,582 yards from the blue tees, 72.3/131, course/slope ratings, designed by Arthur Hills.

The Cupp course is an interesting, geometric layout designed by a CAD system. It features trapezoidal and rectangular sand bunkers, square/rectangular/circular tees and greens, and pyramid-shaped mounding. Bob Cupp designed the Cupp Course, which plays to 6,524 yards from the blue tees and has 72.3/135 course and slope ratings.
