Savannah Lakes is a residential development with two 18 hole, golf courses located an hour north of Aiken in the Sumter National Forest on Lake Thurmond.

The Monticello is a parkland layout carved through the pine forests along broad fairways with a copious amount of pot, conventional, and sculptured sand traps at the landing zones and defending the greens. There's numerous water hazards in play along with a couple of holes that stretch out over a peninsula in the Lake. It's the more playable of the two layouts with five sets of tees and the middle, white tees playing to 6,112 yards, 69.5/129, course/slope ratings, designed by Tom Clark.

The Tara course is a Clark design as well roaming over a large tract of land with unique, isolated, and narrow tree lined fairways corridors with a varying degrees of elevation change, several water hazards, and well bunkered fairways and greens. There's five sets of tees, the white tees play to 6,091 yards, 70.0/133, course/slope ratings.
