Patriots Point is located just east of downtown Charleston on Charleston Harbor.

The course is a combination links/parkland style layout with views of downtown Charleston, Fort Sumter, and the Harbor and is subject to the constant winds along the coast. It's over mostly level terrain with water in play on almost every hole and sand traps defending the fairways and greens. It plays to 6,955 yards, 73.0/126, course/slope ratings from the tips with three shorter tees, designed by Willard C. Byrd in 1981.
