The River Club is on the east bank of the Savannah River across the River from Augusta between the 5th St bridge and the 13th St bridge in North Augusta, SC.

The layout's fairways are defined by trees over flat land along the River with wetlands, streams, ponds, and lakes in play on twelve holes in addition to an abundance of shapes and style of sand bunkers. It was designed by Jim Fazio in 2000 with five sets of tees from 5,081 yards to 6,847 yards, with 72.7/129 course/slope ratings from the tips.
