Orangeburg is a private country club, but permits public play through Golf Santee or the Santee Cooper Golf Group. It's located on the northwest side of Orangeburg just off US 178 in an established, residential neighborhood along the Edisto River.

The course moves over relatively level terrain through the pines with numerous water hazards and a moderate amount of sand bunkers along the landing zones and guarding the greens. There's four sets of tees from 5,127 yards to 6,692 yards from the tips, the middle tees are 6,042 yards, 68.5/118, course/slope ratings. It's an original Ellis Maples design from the late 1950s that was redesigned by Richard Mandell in 2009.
