The Cherokee Country Club is south of the Coosa River and downtown Centre off AL 9 surrounded by pine forests and fields.

The golf course is a classic, Alabama parkland layout with fairways defined by pine trees over slightly rolling contours. It's straightforward with several modest doglegs and three ponds with sand bunkers defending many of the small, raised greens. There's four sets of tees overall with the tips playing to 6,088 yards, 68.4/119, course/slope ratings and a par of 71.
