The Country Hills Golf Course is 25 miles north of Springfield in Greenview surrounded by farmland on the east side of the Sangamon River.

The golf course strolls over generally level terrain along broad fairways with scattered trees at the borders. There's several ponds and a stream in play in addition to a modest amount of sand traps at the landing zones and defending the greens. The golf course has two sets of tees with the tips playing to 6,144 yards, 68.7/117, course/slope ratings, designed Glenn Simmering.
