Esplanade Golf Club is two miles east of I-75 at the Rt 70 exit.

The layout meanders through a residential community in Lakewood Ranch and while there's water bordering most of the holes it rarely comes into play. There's a moderate amount of sand bunkers along the fairways and guarding the large, slightly undulating greens, and it's very fair and playable off the tee, yet wide open to the wind and elements. It was designed by former Art Hill associate Chris Wilczynski with five sets of tees from 4,597 yards to 6,756 yards at the tips, the middle tees play to 5,967 yards, 68.6/119, course/slope ratings.
