Northstar is 20 minutes north of downtown Columbus to the east of the I-71 exit for Sunbury.

The layout is links/parkland design moving over former farmland and through forests with water hazards on the majority of the holes and sand traps in play along the landing zones and guarding the greens. It's long from the tips-7.516 yards, but has five shorter sets of tees with the White tees at 6,186 yards, 69.5/119, course/slope ratings, designed by John Cook.
