Rivertowne is 30 minutes northeast of Charleston off Highway 17 at SC 41 to the north bordering an upscale, residential development.

The layout weaves around the lagoons and marshlands of the Wando River and Horlbeck Creek with a wide open links-style feel yet surrounded by trees and natural areas at the borders. There's massive conventional and waste bunker complexes along the fairways and guarding the generous, sloped and contoured greens. The course was designed by Arnold Palmer and can play to 7,188 yards from the tips, 74.9/147, course/slope ratings with four shorter sets of tees.
