Sunday River is a four season resort in the town of Newry 80 miles north of Portland.

The golf course is a mountain style layout with an impressive amount of elevation change over sloping, steep fairways yet with generally ample landing areas between the trees. The views here are stunning on a clear day across Jordan Bowl through the Sunday River Valley to the Mahoosuc Range including Old Spec, the third highest peak in Maine. Each hole is along unique and isolated fairway corridors of the forest on the hillside of the ski area with a generous amount of fingered, sand bunkers along the fairways and guarding the greens. It was designed by Robert Trent Jones, Jr and plays to 7,130 yards, 75.3/150, course/slope ratings with three shorter tee boxes.
