The Oaks Golf Course is just off the 197 exit of I-55 to the east in Pontiac midway between Joliet and Bloomington.

The golf course is situated in a forested tract of land yet borders homes on the exterior holes on the south side of the Vermillion River with Turtle Creek on its eastern flank. The layout flows over level terrain along broad fairways defined by trees with numerous slight doglegs, ponds and streams, and sand bunkers defending the green complexes. It can play to 6,804 yards, 73.0/132, course/slope ratings off the back tees, an original design of Tom Bendelow expanded and redesigned in 1973 by Larry Packard.
