The Towanda CC is located on the east side of Towanda and the Susquehanna River surrounded by the Endless Mountains.

The front nine is a moderate start with substantially more character and change in elevation on the backside. It's a shotmaker's layout overall where accuracy is rewarded over distance with Laning Creek and three ponds coming into play in addition to numerous doglegs. There's hilly and sloping fairways, sand bunkers mostly greenside, and quick, undulating greens adding to the challenge. It can play to 6,060 yards, 70.0/127, course/slope ratings from the tips with three shorter tee boxes.The club opened as a nine hole course in 1925 designed by Bill Glenn and expanded to eighteen holes in 1969.
