Ak-Chin Southern Dunes is in Maricopa about 15 minutes south of Chandler west of I-10 off route 238.

It's a links layout with the fairway mounding providing a dunes-like feel in the middle of the desert. The layout is a wide open, ranging, and rolling design with sand bunkers along the fairways and greens, several water hazards in play, and the greens all shapes and sizes, contoured and slightly sloped. It can play up to 7,546 yards, 76.4/144, course/slope ratings from the tips with five other sets of tees, designed by Schmidt-Curley with Fred Couples.
