Alisal has two championship, 18-hole courses located on the south side of Solvang along with a classic California Resort Hotel and Spa.

The Ranch is a traditional layout along narrow fairways lined by stands of oaks, sycamores, and eucalyptus trees with a barranca and Alisal Creek to negotiate on most of the course. It was designed by William Bell in 1956 and plays to 6,542 yards, 72.0/133, course/slope ratings from the tips with two shorter tees.

The River meanders along the Santa Ynez River through tree-lined fairways with well-bunkered landing zones and greens and numerous water features. It's a scenic setting in the River Valley with the Santa Ynez Mountains as a background and is without homes or development along the golf course. It's 6,830 yards from the Gold tees, 73.1/126, course/slope ratings with four shorter tees, with design work by Jack Daray, Jr and the Hallsey Group.
