Angels Crossing is located south of Kalamazoo, just off Rt 131 to the east on the south side of Vicksburg along Portage Creek and Barton Lake.

The golf course marches over an expansive 350-acre tract of land with meadows, woods, and wetlands defining the broad fairways and tall prairie grasses at the borders. The greens are large, tend to be elevated, and are sloping and undulating with greenside mounding into collection area. If you're a purist or have experienced or studied classic course design, you will appreciate the design elements here. There are a couple of cape holes, a redan, a punch bowl, a Biarritz, and a double-green. The sand bunkers are original as well, with stacked sod faces and a few distinct designs, including church pews, bottleneck, and carry, in addition to the Cardinal and the Principal's Nose from St Andrew's. There are five sets of tees overall, with the middle tees playing to 6,232 yards, 69.5/118, and course/slope ratings, designed by Jerry Matthews.
