Apple Mountain is east of Placerville on Rt 50 on the way to the Eldorado National Forest.

The golf course is a mountain style layout over significant elevation change and is not walkable. The layout is challenging due to the nature of the rolling and sloping fairways along thick tree lined corridors with scenic views throughout in the Sierra Nevada foothills. It can play to 6,308 yards, 69.8/138, course/slope ratings from the back tees with four shorter tees, designed by Algie Pulley and Brad Bell.
