The Architects Golf Club is just east of Phillispburg and Easton off US 22 to the north in Warren County.

If you're a student of the game or a purist, you will appreciate this course for more than just a superb layout in a predominately natural setting on the west bank of Lopatcong Creek. Architects attempted to incorporate design elements from golf's architectural masters into the holes rather than copy featured holes. The result is very well done and a fair representation of the original design elements for the most part. Generally speaking, it's a parkland style of design with multiple water hazards and a creative use of sand bunkers along the fairways and greens of varying shapes and sizes. From the blue tees it's 6,863 yards, par 71, 72.5/131, course/slope ratings with three shorter tees. The course was designed by Stephen Kay and Ron Whitten in 2001 as a tribute to classic golf course architects including A.W. Tillinghast, C.B. Macdonald, Donald Ross, Seth Raynor, Stanley Thompson, RTJ, Sr., Dick Wilson, Alister Mackenzie, William Flynn, George Thomas, Walter Travis, Old Tom Morris, Devereux Emmet, and H.S. Colt.
