Awarii Dunes Golf Club is on the south side of Kearney just off I-80 at NE 44 two hours from Omaha in a setting surrounded by farmland and field.

The golf course is wide open to the elements as it moves along broad, mounded fairways on a large tract of sandhills terrain. The fairways are bordered and interspersed by tall prairie grasses with a mind boggling array of shapes and sizes of sand bunkers along the landing zones and around the massive, green complexes which are sloping, undulating, and tiered. From the tips it can play to 7,075 yards with a 126 slope or as short as 4,779 yards, the blue tees play to 6,284 yards, 68.8/114, course/slope ratings, designed by Jim Engh.
