Bailey Creek is within a resort, residential development on Lake Almanor in northern California east of Red Bluff by 80 miles with Mount Lassen as a backdrop.

It's a parkland style design over hilly, pine tree lined fairways providing scenic views throughout the round. The layout is interesting and challenging yet somewhat forgiving off the tee over the mounded fairways with numerous doglegs and water hazards and sand bunkers along the landing zones and securing the greens. The course can play to 6,996 yards, 72.2.130, course/slope ratings at the tips with four shorter tees, designed by Homer Flint.
