The "Beav" is on the north side of Concord, west of the Merrimac River, and off Sewalls Falls Road.

The golf course is a classic New England layout winding along confining, tree-lined fairways with several water hazards in play and sand traps mostly defending the modest greens. There are three sets of tees with the tips playing to 6,364 yards, 70.7/126, and course/slope ratings. It's the oldest golf course in the state, originating in the late 1800s and designed by Willie Campbell for $50 with the second nine added and the course redesigned by Geoffrey Cornish in the late 1960s.
