Bella Vista is on the east side of Coldwater Lake south of Coldwater laid into a large, natural tract of land.

The layout is a parkland design along broad, tree lined fairways over relatively level terrain in a certified Audubon Cooperative Sanctuary. The golf course is an entertaining and scenic routing with only two water hazards and 40+ sand bunkers primarily greenside. There's five sets of tees overall from 5,039 yards to 7,011 yards at the tips with the middle tees playing to 6,094 yards, 70.0/132, course/slope ratings, designed by Ernie Shrock in the late 1990s.
