Belmont Lake is not far off I-95 off the Rocky Mount exit, NC 4 east to US 301 then south to the golf course.

The golf course is a parkland design lumbering through dense forest over rolling terrain. It's set on a large, natural tract of land bisected by Beech Branch in the middle along isolated fairway corridors with multiple water features and an abundance of sand traps in play. It can play to 7,095 yards from the tips, 74.0/135, course/slope ratings with five sets of tees down to 4,834 yards, designed by Dave Johnson.
