The Benson Golf Club is on the west side of Benson strolling over a natural, parkland setting with the Chippewa River splitting the western quarter of the golf course.

The layout's fairways are defined by trees along slight doglegs and a sparing use of sand bunkers but with the River in play on four holes. The original layout is from the 1920s with an additional nine and a redesign by Joel Goldstrand in 1978. There's four sets of tees overall with the back tees playing to 6,313 yards, 70.5/126, course slope ratings.
