The Big River Golf Course is on the east side of Umatilla on flat river bottom land along the Columbia River.

The golf course is a fairly straightforward layout with unique fairways framed by trees. There's several holes with water in play, a few doglegs, and sand traps defending the ample greens in a setting providing views of the Columbia River Gorge throughout the round. It's short at 5,975 yards from the tips, 69.1/115, course/slope ratings and one shorter tee.
