Black Bear is 30 minutes southwest of Duluth off I-35 at exit 235 and part of the Black Bear Casino.

The golf course is a target style, parkland layout lumbering along narrow, tree lined corridors with well bunkered fairways and greens in addition to ponds or wetlands in play on the majority of the holes. There's four sets of tees from 5,072 yards to 6,560 yards, the white tees play to 6,057 yards, 70.0/137 course and slope ratings, designed by Robert Graves.
