Bos Landen is on the west side of Pella east of Red Rock Lake 40 miles southeast of Des Moines.

The parkland layout is partially within a residential development over rolling terrain with pinched landing areas and narrow approaches to the greens. There's lakes, streams, and ponds on over half the holes with sand bunkers positioned along the fairways and defending the generous, contoured greens. It was designed by Dick Phelps with 5 sets of tees ranging from 5,100 to 6,932 yards off the tips, 73.5/133 course and slope ratings.
