Briggs Woods is in Webster City, about 1 1/2 hours north of Des Moines, on the south side of town, in Briggs Woods Park.

The golf course is a parkland layout with narrow, tree-lined fairways along the Boone River Valley. Water or wetlands are in play on the challenging back side, which is partially carved through the forest, with just a few sand bunkers guarding the greens overall. There are a total of three sets of tees, with the tips playing to 6,502 yards, 71.6/119, course/slope ratings.
