Bright Leaf Resort is about 45 minutes southwest of Lexington in Harrodsburg on the south side of town on US 127 with 27 holes.

The main layout is a straightforward, parkland design over rolling terrain and mostly wide open off the tee with water on 6 holes in a natural setting without homes or development along the holes. The championship course is 6,474 yards, 70.0/121, course/slope ratings from the tips with two shorter tees, designed by C.R. Buck Blankenship in 1963. The 9 hole, regulation course is along generous, tree lined fairways with water on six holes. It can play to 2,921 yards, 34.8/115, course/slope with two shorter tees.
