The Buffalo Golf Course is off either I-90 or I-25 at the US 16 exit to the west located on the west side of town bordering the bench of the Big Horn Mountains.

The golf course layout is a parkland design with the fairway corridors defined by large pine and fir trees. It's generally straightforward with a stream that runs through numerous holes and sand bunkers along the fairways and guarding the greens. From the back tees it's 6,556 yards, par 71, 70.9/116, course/slope ratings with three shorter tees, designed by Frank Hummel and Bill Poirot.
