Buffalo Peak is on the east side of Union 15 miles off I-84 at the North Powder exit.

The routing is a wide open, links-style design without trees moving over varying degrees of elevation change. There's Prescott Creek traversing the middle of the course and in play frequently with numerous sand bunkers at the landing zones and defending the greens. It journeys through a scenic setting in the Grande Ronde Valley with views of the surrounding Wallowa and Blue Mountain ranges throughout the round. The course was designed by Bill Phillips in 2000 and plays to 6,467 yards from the tips, 72.1/130, course/slope ratings with three shorter tees.
