The Calamus Golf Course is a 9-hole layout in the Nebraska Sandhills in the Calamus River Valley 6 miles northwest of Burwell and 1 mile south of the Calamus Reservoir.
The golf course is a parkland layout skirting over level terrain and along broad fairways lined by young trees with tall prairie grasses at the borders. Two ponds are in play, and there are more doglegs than a kennel. For 18 holes, it will play to 5,690 yards with a par of 70, 63.4/102, course/slope ratings.
