Callippe Preserve is located just off the I-680 freeway at exit 22/Sunol Blvd in the East Bay town of of Pleasanton.

It's a municipal golf course wandering along Happy Valley Creek adjoining the Callippe Butterfly Preserve with an interesting variety of holes where accuracy is more useful than distance. The course is a target layout with the back nine providing a change in elevation and views of Mount Diablo to the north. From the black tees it plays to 6,748 yards, 73.0/136, course/slope ratings with four shorter tees, designed by Brian Costello.
