The Canaan Valley Resort and golf course is three hours from either Pittsburgh or D.C. due west of Winchester in the Monongahela National Forest.

The course is a roomy, parkland style design with water on eight holes and a generous amount of sand bunkers positioned along the fairways and guarding the greens in a completely natural setting. From the Blue tees it's 6,984 yards, 73.3/130, course/slope ratings with three shorter tees, designed by Geoffrey Cornish.
