The Cansawacta CC is on the north side of Norwich well out in the Chenango Valey in a natural setting surrounded by fields and forests.

The parkland layout has it all with elevated tees and greens, hilly and sloping fairways, water hazards on 12 holes, blind shots, dog legs, and quick, undulating greens, some of which are defended by sand bunkers. The original nine holes were built in the 1920s, the "new" nine added in the 1960s.
