Candlestone is 30 minutes northeast of Grand Rapids in Belding.

The golf course has a mix of narrow and broad, tree lined fairways over rolling hills with water in play on half the holes and 52 sand bunkers overall. It was designed by Jerry Matthews from an old apple orchard in the mid-1970s with additional design work by Mike Husby. There's three sets of tees from 4,940 yards to 6,655 yards, the White tees are 6,173 yards, 70.9/125, course/slope ratings.
