Cantigny is 30 miles west of downtown Chicago in Cantigny Park on Roosevelt Road in Wheaton. It has three nines, Lakeside, Woodside, and Hillside, on a roomy tract of land without homes or development along the layout.

The golf course journeys through a parkland setting over rolling hills and along lakes and forests with classic design elements. There's water on multiple holes, a generous amount of sand bunkers, and a mix of constricted and open fairway corridors off the tee and around the occasional dogleg. There are four sets of tees overall: Hillside is the shortest at 3,394 yards, Lakeside, 3,437 yards, and Woodside, 3,567 yards, all from the back tees.
