Canyon Lakes is just off the I-680 at Bollinger Canyon to the east in a residential community in San Ramon.

The course winds through a home development with varying degrees of elevation change along narrow, sloping tree lined fairways bordered by water hazards and sand bunkers in a scenic setting with views of Mt Diablo and the San Ramon Valley. It was originally designed by Ted Robinson in 1987 and plays to 6,373 yards from the tips, 71.8/133, course/slope ratings with three shorter tees.
