Carson Valley is located 2 miles south of Gardnerville off Hwy 395 about 30 minutes south of Carson City along the East Fork of the Carson River and through a residential community.

The golf course is a compact layout along level, cottonwood tree lined fairways bordering the Carson River with streams and the River coming into play on most holes. It's a par 71, 6,020 yards, 68.0/117, course/slope ratings from the men's tees, designed by Red Swift in the 1960s.
