The Carter CC is on the west side of Lebanon off I-89 at the US 4 exit.

The golf course is a classic and scenic 9 holer carved through a clearing in the woods on the south side of the Mascoma River over rolling topography. The course is typical of older layouts with small, raised greens protected by deep sand traps, a few blind shots, and bumps, humps and hollows along the fairways and greens. It's short at only 3,000 yards from the tips, 34.1/116, course/slope ratings with two shorter tees, designed by Donald Ross in the 1920s.
