Chapel Ridge is southwest of Chapel Hill and north of Pittsboro just off NC 87.

The course is a hilly, parkland style design along pine tree lined fairways through a residential community with the homes blocked by trees. Each hole is isolated and unique and scattered across a large tract of land. With the fingered sand bunkers along the fairways and greens, several water hazards in play, and numerous doglegs it yields a target layout. It's long at 7,136 yards from the tips, 74.1/133 course/slope ratings with four shorter sets of tees, designed by Bob Moore and Fred Couples.
