Cherokee Run is located on the east side of Atlanta in Conyers off I-20 at exit 82 then north to the Georgia International Horse Park.

The golf course is a parkland style design over hilly and heavily wooded terrain with water hazards and sand bunkers positioned throughout the fairways' landing areas and guarding the greens. It was designed by Arnold Palmer and can play to 7,016 yards from the tips, 75.1/143, course/slope ratings with four shorter tees down to 4,948 yards.
