Cherokee Valley is located 20 minutes south of Memphis International Airport just off US 78 in Olive Branch partially within a residential development with homes only on a few of the exterior holes.

The layout moves over rolling terrain with Camp Creek cutting through the course and features 78 sand bunkers and water hazards on seven holes, but is generally playable with wide fairways and a light rough. It plays 6,761 yards, 72.5/128, course/slope ratings from the gold tees with three shorter tees, designed by Don Cottle, Jr.
