Cherokee Village is a retirement residential community in the foothills of the Ozarks with two 18 hole, golf courses accessible to those residing in one of the rental units.

The North Course is a parkland layout carved through the forest with the South Fork River dividing and bordering the course. The layout is narrow with the fairways moving left or right and most of the greens are elevated where shotmaking prevails. There's three sets of tees, the tips play to 6,687 yards, 71.7/120, course/slope ratings, designed by John Cooper in 1963.

The South Course is the more scenic of the two courses and is a mountain style layout lumbering through the woods over hilly and sloping fairways where a level lie is rare. The fairways are generous, sand traps numerous, and the greens large with slight undulations. There's four tees from 5,270 yards to 7,058 yards, the white tees are 6,098 yards, 71.2/123, course/slope ratings, designed by Edmund Ault.
