Coharie CC is just west of Clinton off Highway 24 within an established residential community.

The layout is a traditional parkland design over slightly rolling terrain along fairways defined by pine trees. It's fairly straightforward, save for several slight doglegs, with less than 25 sand traps, a couple of small ponds, and very modest greens. There are multiple tees from 4,900 to 6,500 yards; the white tees play to 6,272 yards, 70.7/126, course/slope ratings, with design work by Ellis Maples and Gene Hamm
