Colbert Hills is KSU's home course located northwest of Manhattan and campus on Kimball Avenue partially bordering a residential community.

The golf course is a challenging layout in a scenic setting traversing a large tract of land in the Flint Hills and very much a minimalist design. The course is also an Audubon Signature course since it's met certain guidelines for development and maintenance. The layout has parkland/links characteristics as it journeys along broad fairways bordered by stands of hardwoods with tall fescue grasses at the margins. There's 92 bunkers including 84 bright white and 5 purple sand bunkers, 3 waste areas, two ponds and numerous creeks, and generous, contoured and undulating greens. It can play to 7,525 yards, 77.5/152, course/slope ratings from the tournament tees but has four other tee box options, designed by Senior PGA and former PGA Tour player KSU grad Jim Colbert and Jeff Brauer.
